Susan Mondik Key

Susan Mondik Key has been a partner at Peacock Keller since 2003, Susan's practice is devoted to estate planning and administration, estate litigation and elder law issues. A substantial amount of her time is devoted to issues affecting the elderly, as a member of the Elder Law Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Elder Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Susan also serves as special counsel to taxing authorities, having expertise in tax assessment matters.

Susan is active in the Washington County Bar Association, where she was elected Young Lawyer's Division President, Scretary, Treasurer, Executive Member, and as a Trustee of its Bar Foundation. Susan has also held various leadership positions within the Pennsylvania Bar Association where she served as a Young Lawyer Zone Chair, as a member of the House of Delegates and on the PBA Board of Governors (2003-2006). She also served on the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Editorial Board, Rules and Calendar Committee, and Task Force on Representation. Susan was also a Trustee of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation.

In September 2005, Susan was appointed and she continues to serve as a Hearing Officer for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Susan is a Washington County native. She graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in 1986 with a B.A. in English and Economics, and from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1989. She also completed the Economic Policy Seminar at American University, Washington, D.C.

She is a member of the Church of the Covenant, Washington, Pennsylvania, where she served on its Board of Trustees. Susan participates in numerous community activities, serving on the boards of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, the Washington Hospital Foundation, and several non-profit organizations. Susan and her husband, Abraham Key, the CEO of Pony Baseball, Inc., reside in East Washington with their two children, Casey and Lincoln, and are active supporters of youth sports.
