Douglas R. Nolin
Douglas R. Nolin joined the firm in 1986, following completion of a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Thomas J. Terputac, Court of Common Pleas, Washington County. A graduate of Waynesburg College, where he was a member of Kappa Mu Epsilon, Doug attended Duquesne University School of Law, where he distinguished himself by earning membership in the Order of the Barrister, on the Appellate Moot Court Board, and the Law Review. Involved in trial moot court interstate competitive events, Mr. Nolin's practice has continued to center on litigation.
Doug is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Washington County Bar Associations and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. He has tried cases in several counties in Western Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and he has argued before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He is certified as a mediator by the Pittsburgh Mediation Center.
A long-time resident of Washington County, Doug is active in his community of Claysville. He is a member and past President of the Claysville Business Association. He is an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Claysville, serving on its Session and teaching Sunday School.
Doug is married to Marlene Pettit, and they have a small farm in East Finley Township south of Claysville, near a farm that has been in Doug's family for more than 100 years. Together, Doug and Marlene have a son Eric, and a daughter, Kelsey.
