Davis G. Yohe
Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1950, Senior Counsel Davis G. Yohe is a 1948 Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and a 1950 graduate of Dickinson School of Law. Known for his expertise in the law of eminent domain and mineral rights, Davis has addressed condemnation law issues for the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association in various sites across the country, including Orlando, Florida; San Francisco, California; New York, New York; Toronto, Canada; and myriad locations in Pennsylvania. This expertise is grounded upon his tenure as a Special Assistant Attorney General to the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, handling over 500 condemnation cases through the trial and appellate levels. Davis has also published several articles on this issue, including "Income Tax Aspects of Condemnation Awards," published in the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Probate Journal, and "Certain Condemnation of Farm Lands can be Prevented," published in the American Bar Association Real Estate and Probate Quarterly.
After receiving a World War II Distinguished Flying Cross with the Oak Leaf Cluster as a bomber pilot, Mr. Yohe's community service activities continued. Serving in 1988 as the Chairman of the Washington County Tuberculosis and Health Association, Mr. Yohe was also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates for 6 years, the Program Chairman of the Real Estate Division of Real Estate and Probate Section, Pennsylvania Bar Association (1982 to date), and served as Chairman of the Condemnation Law Committee of the American Bar Association, as Secretary of the Washington County Republican Party Executive Committee for 12 years, and as Chairperson of the Mon Valley Red Cross Chapter for 4 years. Davis is also Past President of the Washington County Bar Association, the Washington, Pennsylvania, Rotary Club, and the Sons of the American Revolution, George Washington Chapter. Davis retired from the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Always active in the church community, Mr. Yohe is presently a Deacon at First Baptist Church, Monongahela, PA. He and his wife Mary Ann live in Monongahela.
