Peacock Keller In Action
On March 15. Peacock Keller again entered a team in the annual Washington Charity Trivia Contest, sponsored by the Washington and McMurray Rotary Clubs. Out of 16 teams, we came up a tad short, just 12 points shy of 2nd place. Categories included Pure Trivia, Pennsylvania, Quotations, Food, Animals and Insects. Joe Giecek captained our team, which included Susan Key, Sabra Sakach, Grant Finley, Diana Miller and Charles Keller.
John Rodgers in February conduced a seminar on Legal Issues for Church Officers for the Washington Presbytery.
Susan Mondik Key conducted a seminar on Estate Planning for a Cancer Survivors' Workshop at the Cameron Wellness Center in Washington in November. It was hosted by the American Cancer Society.
In November, Ken Baker and John Rodgers were presenters at the Washington Hospital's Financial Wellness Fair. They, joined by Rick Amrhein, will repeat this seminar for the public at the Cameron Wellness Center on April 28.
Mary Pruss is serving on the Board of Directors of "Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful." This is an organization with a long-term mission to revitalize downtown Waynesburg. It is affiliated with Pennsylvania Downtown Center (PDC) with a similar goal state-wide.
Ken Baker is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Pittsburgh Council, BSA. and chairman of its Membership Standards Committee. He will also chair the Scouting for Food Drives for the Mingo Trails and Mon Valley Districts in April.
Susan Mondik Key, a member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), attended the mid-Winter meeting of the PRA in Palm Springs, Florida January 21-25. She also attended the Conference of bar Leaders in Hershey March 4-5. Jonathan G. Higie continues as a Washington County delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar's House of Delegates.
