Please Meet Robert Fratto
The latest addition to Peacock Keller is Robert Fratto. We think you will find his background interesting. A native of Pittsburgh, he graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in international politics. Up to that point, he anticipated a career in the foreign service. But during his Penn State career, he interned for a time in Washington, D.C., where he met then-Congressman Tom Ridge.
When Tom Ridge became Governor of Pennsylvania in 1994, Bob went to work for him in the Governor's Office and in the State Office of Administration. Subsequently, he worked in the Office of the Attorney General as a Policy Analyst under Attorney General Tom Corbett. Bob has a strong touch of idealism in his makeup, and he worked on the referendum campaign to pass the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter in 1999. He also found time to work in the State Legislature as a Legislative Assistant, dealing with transportation and economic development issues.
Bob then turned his attention to the law and entered the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he graduated in May of 2004. In law school, he focused on civil litigation by completing the law school's Civil Litigation Certificate Program. He also interned in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the City of Pittsburgh Law Department.
Bob joined Peacock Keller early in 2005 as its newest attorney. While he works in a variety of the firm's practice areas, his focus is in civil litigation, including toxic tort defense, architect and construction defense, and bringing personal injury claims in pharmaceutical-based cases.
Bob currently resides in Robinson Township in Allegheny County. In his spare time, he is an avid exercise enthusiast. He has kayaked all over the United States, has participated in triathalons, and thoroughly enjoys mountain biking and touring, as well as tennis and other exhausting activities.
At Peacock Keller, we decided that when we could find an idealist with the rigorous work ethic Bob has, that we wanted him in our firm. We think you will enjoy getting to know Bob Fratto.
