Peacock Keller's team moved up to 9th out of 23 contestant teams in this year's Washington Rotary Annual Charity Trivia Contest, our best finish to date, and just 10 points shy of 1st place. Our team included an assortment of lawyers, paralegals, and staff. Trivia categories included, History, Classic TV, Geography, Animals, Science, Miscellaneous, Sports, Literature, Music and Movies. Next year, we have resolved to recruit experts on animals and science to "beef-up" our entry. (Is the Hope Diamond really a single molecule?)
Mary Gail Korsmeyer has begun a 3- year term as a member of the Board of Directors of Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Services, Inc. SPLS provides free or low-cost legal services in civil matters to low income persons. MARY GAIL also was a presenter on "The Withdrawal of VIOXX From the Market" on February 27 before the South Hills Chapter of the Women's Business Network.
Doug Nolin on October 2, 2004 won the Triathalon of the Business Association in Claysville for the 2nd time. On October 6-7, our versatile partner followed up his triumph by performing dual roles in T.S. Elliot's "Murder in the Cathedral" at the Claysville Presbyterian Church.
Rick Amrhein and John Rodgers on November 16, 2004 lectured at a community seminar at The Washington Hospital on Estate Planning.
Charles Keller is serving as Co-Chairman (with Ken Donahue of Rose Plastics) of a $500,000 capital campaign, "Strengthen Our Roots," at the seniors' "Center in the Woods" in California, Pennsylvania. He is also the Honorary Chairman of the capital campaign at California University of Pennsylvania, which may reach $25 million.
