Peacock Keller in Action
MARY PRUSS has a most unusual plan for her six month sabbatical leave which began July 1, 2006. She and her husband, Stan, will retrace the 3000 mile Lewis and Clark Trail, starting in Pittsburgh and ending at the Pacific near Portland, Oregon. They will do it by boat and car in six weeks while the original expedition took three years by 55' boat and two piroques, beginning in Pittsburgh in 1803. We can't wait to hear her sabbatical report (which we will share with our readers).
SUSAN KEY completed her three year term as a member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Bar Association at a Board Retreat at Niagara-on-the-Lake on June 22-25. She was only the 5th member of the Washington County Bar to hold that high office in the more than 100 year history of the PBA.
KENNETH BAKER lectured in Pittsburgh at a Pennsylvania Bar Institute seminar on January 13, 2006 to some 70 estate specialists on "Taxes Affecting Decedents' Estates. He also did a "Planned Giving seminar on May 9 for the Washington Hospital Foundation and a seminar with Bob Cupp for WesBanco on May 10 on "Use of Trusts in Estate Planning. More recently in April, he chaired the highly successful "Scouting for Food campaign in Washington County.
SUSAN KEY and CHARLES KELLER conducted an estate planning seminar for employees of Rose Plastic of California, PA on March 31 at "The Willows" in Rostraver Township. They covered the use and preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advance directives.
