Another Feather in the Cap of Western PennsylvaniaMary Beth Buchanan, U.S. Attorney for the 25-County Western District of PA, has been named to head the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys in Washington, D.C. That office is a liaison for all 94 U.S. Attorneys in the country. She will continue to head the U.S. Attorneys Office in Pittsburgh.Buchanan has just completed a one-year term as Chair of Attorney General John Ashcroft's Advisory Committee for U.S. Attorneys. In addition, she has just been awarded the prestigious 2004 "Athena Award" for exceptional performance by a woman in Allegheny County. Buchanan has good Washington County and Western PA credentials. A native of Roscoe, she is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. |
