Peacock Keller in Action
Charles C. Keller was the graduation speaker at California University of Pennsylvania before some 1,000 undergraduates and graduate students on May 7 and 8,2004. He received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters, honoris causa. He currently serves as a trustee of the CUP Foundation and will be Honorary Chairman of the University's soon-to-begin $30 million capital campaign.
Barbara Rizzo was a presenter on March 31, 2004 at the Pennsylvania School Board Association at its spring Legal Round-up for Administrators and School Board Members in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. At the Association's September 28 meeting in Hershey, Barbara spoke on "Safely Navigating the Screening, Selection and Hiring of employees."
On September 4, Rick Amrhein did a one hour seminar on Adoption Law Changes for the Family Law Section of the Washington County Bar Association.
Doug Nolin spoke to nurses, technicians and other care providers at Monongahela Valley Hospital on September 23,2004. His subject was "Legal Hotspots for 2004 in Healthcare." Despite the current emphasis on privacy for medical records, be stressed the need for clear and prompt communications of patient data among providers.
Susan Mondik Key spoke on The Importance of the Power of Attorney and Advance Directive (Living Will) on August 23 at Washington City Hall for the Pa. Older and Wiser Program with Neighborhood Legal Services.
Roger J. Ecker presided on September 26 at the dedication of the Brownson House Vernon L. Neal Sportsplex in Washington Park. Roger is a long-time member of the Board of Directors of Washington's much-honored Brownson House, which provides comprehensive year-around recreational programs for Washington-area youth.
Mary Pruss keeps busy in community services in Waynesburg. Her Lions Club's Park Committee has under taken a major refurbishing of Lions Club Community Park. She also serves on the Waynesburg Chamber of Commerce Scholarship and Distinguished Service Award Banquet Committees.
