Guardianship

When faced with a family member or friend who legally cannot effectively make a decision for himself or herself, whether due to a young age, mental infirmity resulting from a birth condition or later injury or because of the aging process, a legal guardianship of the person and the estate may be required.  The appointment of a guardian by a court will allow someone to make personal and health-related decisions and to protect that person's financial assets.  Peacock Keller attorneys are prepared to help our clients work through the legal procedures involved from evaluation to court appointment, through the financial aspects of selling real estate and the final accounting of the guardianship administration.
