Peacock Keller In Action

Jon Higie spoke on "The Mechanics of Title Examination" and Andy Chumney delivered a talk on "Abstracting Titles in the Appal-achian Basin - Putting it all Together and Reporting it in a Title Opinion" at the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation on March 10, 2011.

Ken Baker and Don Formoso were presenters at "Review of New Tax Law" for the Estate Planning and Administration Section of the Washington County Bar Association on Feburary 17, 2011.

Susan Key has been appointed Solicitor to the Washington County Tax Collection Committee which will address the countywide collection of earned income taxes. Susan was also a speaker/trainer to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board Hearing Officers back in the fall.

Peacock Keller was a sponsor and had two teams participating in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh Bowl for Kids'Sake event on March 6, 2011. This is our second year of taking part in this great cause filled with fun and fund-raising.

On Friday evening, March 18, 2011, Peacock Keller once again upheld our yearly tradition of fielding a team for the Charity Trivia Contest sponsored by the Washington Rotary Club. Our team's point score was equal to the overall average score for all teams. The real winners were the numerous local charities supported by the funds raised as a result of the event.

Thanks so much to our charity-minded staff.

...and Out of Action

Beginning May 14, 2011, Doug Nolin will start his long-anticipated six-month sabbatical leave, the ninth of Peacock Keller's partners to enjoy such a benefit. Don't worry though, the rest of us have grown accustomed to covering for our absent partners. While Doug is out, his clients will be referred to Susan Roberts or another attorney in the firm best suited to handling that client's specific needs.
